The journal for 1764 is a narrative by Dr. John Morgan, surgeon general in the Revolutionary Army in 1776, of his tour from Rome to London in 1764, with details on important persons he met, his visit to Voltaire, universities and academies of learning, palaces, cities, travel, and social life in Europe. Daybook of 1781-1788 contains Dr. Morgan's accounts of his professional activities, services rendered and medical supplies sold to his patients, with data on 18th century pharmacology. This volume includes a list of members of the American Philosophical Society. The 1764 journal is a handwritten copy made by George Appold, 1847.
